Three
Cottages on beach of small Fiji island
The three cottages are unique among tropical cottages anywhere in the world. In front of the cottages is a beautiful bay with a white sand beach and views of spectacular sunsets. In back of each cottage is an entirely different large bay with mile long white sand beach. Over that bay are seen magnificent sunrises.
For many years the Lonely Planet, Fiji Edition, has praised Charlie's Place as:
"A traditional favorite of Travelers. Those that stayed here felt comfortable, and their needs were taken care of. This is also the only accommodation on a hill and has a commanding view."
Things you dream about for a vacation or holiday: peace, quiet, and solitude, away from it all. Blissful sunbathing in solitude. Relaxation with a little shell hunting or swimming. Or maybe a boat trip out to Storm Island to see the hundreds of baby birds in the breeding grounds and sanctuary for numerous sea birds.
Charlie's Place gives you all this, and excitement of discovering underwater worlds of miles of pristine brilliant coral reefs by snorkeling, SCUBA diving, or kayaking. Explore your almost uninhabited island where it seems you could walk along many sand beaches that encircle the island and not see a soul. This is really a beachcomber's Paradise.
Charlie's Place is casual, peaceful, and lazy. You wake up to sound of the sea and wind murmuring through coconut palms. Then an early-morning dip in clear water surrounded by hundreds of colorful tropical fish. In the evening, after a hard days sunbathing and swimming, what is better than a shower, a cold drink, a hot meal, and finally to relax on a comfortable bed….bliss. You will soon learn why so many vacationers return to this island again and again for their annual holidays.
